DAVID REDMAN BIOGRAPHY

David Redman has enjoyed a remarkable career in designing crystal and jewellery for the luxury goods market - for more years than he cares to admit to and he has established an international reputation within the industry and been cited in numerous publications on crystal design.

An innovative designer, particularly in the development of cased and coloured crystal, David is versed in a variety of materials with an extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes. He believes design is a collaboration between designer and craftsman and this philosophy profoundly influences his work.

David started his career at a Bond Street jeweller and silversmith; in 1987 he left to set up his own company, designing gold, silver-gilt and enamel cufflinks and gifts for clients such as Armani, Bulgari and Tiffany.

After ten successful years he was approached by a UK crystal manufacturer to become their Head Designer and to develop the product range. Many of these pieces he designed at this time remain core to their collection to this day, clearly a testament to David's talent for iconic styling. During his tenure there his most notable designs included the limited edition ‘Millennium’ champagne flutes.

In 2001, David gave in to increasing demand and returned to designing for individual clients developing crystal and silver products for the luxury goods market. The business has built successful collaborative relationships with clients including Mappin & Webb, Asprey & Garrard, Linley and Penhaligon’s.

The company is now known as David Redman London Limited acknowledging David’s industry-wide recognition as one of the leading designers of luxury goods and increasingly of his very own retail presence.

PACKAGING

We believe the experience of gift purchasing, which is the essence of the Collection, should be further enhanced by luxurious presentation and we supply all our items in a very smart lilac and black-lined handmade box with black tissue and lilac ribbon.

The packaging is fundamental to our brand identity and we are proud that so many of our retail clients display our packaging with the Collection.
